Google set to be absent from MWC 2013?

Mobile World Congress MWC 2013

Google looks set to be absent from this year?s Mobile World Congress 2013 (MWC 2013) as they are missing from the GSMA Exhibitors List. The list, available on the web or via the Official GSMA app on your smartphone contains all the exhibitors at this year?s blockbuster event and their stand locations.

A simple search for Google or Android yields no applicable results for a stand that could be run by the world?s largest search engine. It is entirely possible that Google will be in force at the Motorola Mobility stand in Hall 3 at MWC 2013 (where Nokia, Samsung, HTC and Huawei will also have their stands). ?Last year at MWC 2012, the Google stand was a major success, showcasing all of the latest devices running on Android in their own pods and also giving out fresh shakes and really tasty ice cream sandwiches.

Any Google presence would most likely be dedicated to Android Key Lime Pie ? otherwise known as Android 5.0 ? which is the next iteration of the company?s Android mobile operating system. Either way MWC 2013 is just weeks away and we?ll be there in force to bring you all the news and gossip we can find. Stay tuned as we?ll be revealing some BIG news about our coverage from MWC 2013.
