iPad Mini release date rumors gained a decent amount of momentum this week, on the heels of a string of new reports suggesting that Apple has already lined up screen panel suppliers.
In turn, it has once again been suggested that the iPad Mini release date may have already been penciled in by Apple, most likely for late Q4 or early Q4 ? certainly before the holiday season.
The latest stirrings have their origins in Far-Eastern supply chains claiming to have familiarity with the ongoing iPad Mini project. Given the fact that a number of key Android rivals including Amazon and Samsung are already taking full advantage of a massive market for low-budget tablet PCs, it seems an inevitability that Apple will enter the race with an iPad Mini over the coming months.
In fact, industry analysts have already suggested that iPad Mini sales will exceed six million during its first days following release alone.
Meanwhile, separate sources have issued reports suggesting that the iPad Mini will offer a single storage option of 8GB to keep prices as low as possible, which are expected to fall in around the $249 mark.
However, others remain adamant that the iPad Mini will be fitted with a Retina quality display, which would in turn make render the notion of such a low price tag rather unlikely to say the least.
The Amazon Kindle Fire proved in no uncertain terms that raw power is simply no match for an affordable price tag, with its own 7 inch tablet having stolen millions of sales from Apple?s iPad. As such, the situation appears to be one of ?If you can?t beat them, join them? which pretty much guaranteed an iPad Mini on the shelves in the not too distant future.
An iPhone Nano on the other hand is a different story altogether?best not to hold out for this one.
